Every GearSkinz® case is custom made to measure. This ensures a perfect fit and easy access to your gear’s own carrying handles. This unique design allows us to build in a far greater level of protection and durability – without the added weight, hardware and bulk that is so typical of flight cases.
All our cases are made of hard wearing polypropylene - the same material that’s been protecting drum kits so successfully for the past twenty-odd years - it’s tough, waterproof, heat-resistant and 100%
re-cycleable.

Made of a hard-wearing material with a well-proven track record, our cases create a tough ‘skin’ around your gear to give it the protection it needs..
Designed to utilise your equipment’s existing handles, GearSkinz® don’t need any surplus hardware (such as aluminium extrusions, latches, handles etc) so they are extremely light and portable.
They’re quick and easy to fit and, because they’re made to measure, the size of the case is kept to the bare minimum – saving valuable storage and transportation space.. |

Our Skinz come in three versions to suit your needs and your pocket – the
Standard, Plus and
Lite. Each and every case is manufactured exclusively by
GearSkinz® in the UK. |

The ‘Standard’ model is the original GearSkinz®
case in our range and is rugged, light and easy to use.
It has a thick, tough polypropylene skin; a high-density foam lining; re-inforced double skin seams; a metal strengthening rod encased in a seam that runs around the open end of the case which provides extra strength and
rigidity; and the GearSkinz Detachable Strap System® to keep the case firmly locked in place. These combined features create a case that is extremely rigid and strong for its minimal weight.
The GearSkinz Detachable Strap System® has been designed with functionality and ease of use in mind – it is fully detachable which means that, in the event of loss or damage, replacements can be ordered without the need to return the case itself.
The strap has been designed to lie as flat as possible and should be left attached to the case for general use. It is primarily to hold the case in place over the contents when, for example, lying it on its back and sliding it into a car boot or van.

In addition to the features of the Standard model, the PLUS incorporates a base tray which, in conjunction with the case lid, fully encloses your cabinet giving your gear an even greater level of protection.
The Plus is ideal for amp heads and those looking for all round protection. For larger gear, the base trays of these cases can be ordered with optional castors for greater mobility.
It has a thick, tough polypropylene skin; high-density foam linings; re-inforced double skin seams; metal strengthening rods encased in the seams that run around the open ends of the case lid and base tray, which provide extra strength and
rigidity; and the GearSkinz Detachable Strap System® to keep everything firmly locked in
place. These combined features create a case that is extremely rigid and strong for its minimal weight.
The GearSkinz Detachable Strap System® has four securing straps to lock the case lid and base tray firmly together. All four straps are fully detachable which means that, in the event of loss or damage, replacements can be ordered without the need to return the case itself.
Just like the ‘Standard’ , these straps have been designed to lie as flat as possible (for example, lying it on its back and sliding it into a car boot or van) and can be left attached to the lid or base tray during general use.

The
Lite model is, as the name suggests, the lightest model in the GearSkinz® range. But don‘t let the name fool you. Made of the same tough polypropylene as the ‘Standard’ and ‘Plus’ versions, with an inner high density foam lining and strong riveted seams that form a protective ‘skin’ around your gear, these cases give a great deal of protection against every day knocks and scrapes, whilst being as light as possible – offering far better protection than, for example, padded vinyl/cloth covers.
Designed to slip over the top of your cabinet, they leave your gear’s handles accessible for transportation.

Rather than use ‘squeeze’ buckles - which invariably break - the GearSkinz Detachable Strap Systems® employ
webbing straps with a unique arrangement of hook & loop fastenings. This design ensures that the straps lie as
flat as possible against the sides of the case, meaning that there are no protruding buckles to snag or get
crushed when lying your case on its back (e.g. to slide the case into a car boot or van). |
